ALVIDA MANOHARI SINGH

Colleagues and fans of Composer/Musician Manohari Singh, lovingly called Manoharida, (of Basu-Manohari fame) came to offer their tributes at Juhu Crematorium, Mumbai. Since I am not from the music field, I could not recognise most of them but thanks to one Mr.Pratik Mehta of Prayas Entertainment who helped me note down a few names who had come to pay their tributes.

A few of the music personalities were Chhaya Ganguly, Louis Banks, Amrit Rao, Nitin Shankar, Kersi Lord, Homi Mullan, Ulhas Bapat, Shiv-Hari, Deepak Pandit, Atul Raniga, Jayanti Ghosal, Charanjeet Singh, Bhusan Chawla, Santosh Mulekar, Raj Sodha, Deepak Borkar, Shiva Mani, Dubeji, Usha Timothy, Vijay Katkar, Kanchabhai, Rashidbhai, Musharrafbhai, Arvind Haldipur, Girish Vishwa, Viju Tambe, Syed Ali, Anjanda, Ismail Darbar, Ramesh Iyer, Ashok Patki, Omi (Sonik), Kaushik Kothari, Pijas Dhar, Sunil Das, Pramod Sane, Rajat Dholakia, Udit Narayan, Anil Bajpai, Pankaj Kakkad, Safar Kendurkar, Chetan Rana, Rana Chatterji, Shekhar Sen, Rajil Amin Sayani, Shrikant Narayan, Anand Bahal, among others. While a few of them were colleagues of Dada when he played Saxophone/Wind instruments for Hindi film songs composed by R.D.Burman and other legends of Hindi films like O.P.Nayyar and Shankar Jaikishen, many of them were his recent colleagues since Dada was very active on the stage scene.

PRO BOLLYWOOD joins millions of fans of Dada in offering its tribute to the legendary artiste of Hindi film music.
