YOUR TICKET FROM FACEBOOK TO BOLLYWOOD




Nissan is creating the world’s first Bollywood movie entirely auditioned on Facebook through a campaign called New Star of India. All across India, movie enthusiasts auditioned for an opportunity to star alongside Bollywood heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor. From well over 2000 hopefuls, 20 were chosen to be in this ground-breaking movie.

The campaign started off last month on Facebook, and has already gathered over 2,00,000 fans. They were given the opportunity to show off their dancing talent by recording a short video and uploading it to www.facebook.com/nissanindia. To decide who would get to be in the movie, the first shortlisting was decided by the public. People voted for their favourite audition videos, and the most popular 100 participants were through. From these, Ranbir Kapoor and director/choreographer Ahmed Khan chose the lucky winners.

The filming for this ambitious project has already started. The production team is ready for action in Hyderabad, where they will be shooting over the coming week. The excitement does not end here. Nissan has ensured that all those who participated and did not win, are not disappointed. Some will be given surprise cameo roles and people will even be able to participate in the film production process at www.facebook.com/nissanindia
