Mumbai, March 23, 2012: Greater Bank unveiled its new corporate identity and logo in its 60th diamond jubilee year. Mr. S. Karuppasamy (Executive Director, The Reserve Bank of India) unveiled the new logo in the presence of Mr. Narendrakumar A. Baldota (Chairman, Greater Bank), Mr. BVR Sarma (CEO, Greater Bank), Directors of Greater Bank and other distinguished guests from the banking and business fraternity.
Mr. Narendrakumar A. Baldota, Chairman, Greater Bank, said, “As we enter our 60th year of service to the people of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane districts, Greater Bank is now poised to move closer to being a full service bank. Our Bank charts an ambitious growth path by unveiling 24X7 banking through E-Lobby at all branches; 24 X 7 Interbank Mobile Payment Service, new branches; new offsite ATMs and access to India’s largest network of shared ATMs. We are proud and privileged to celebrate our diamond jubilee year in 2012, which is also the United Nations’ International Year of Co-operatives year. Greater Bank has planned a series of events throughout the year as part of our Diamond Jubilee celebrations.”
A musical programme was also organised at the event where Indian Idol and pop artiste Abhijeet Sawant performed on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padva and Founders Day of the Greater Bombay Cooperative Bank (“Greater Bank”), a leading Scheduled Urban Cooperative Bank in India to get all its branches and offices certified with ISO 9001:2008.

Greater Bank proposes to offer 24 X 7 banking transactions & information solutions to all its customers through fully automated Lobby Banking at all branches across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane districts. Greater Bank’s E-Lobby banking is the automated delivery of new and traditional banking products and services without the intervention of the bank staff. The 24 X 7 E-Lobby Services include cheque and cash deposit facility (Real Time with immediate receipt), cash withdrawals, passbook printing, statement printing, utility bills payments and the unique coin dispenser/ mobile recharge facility. This facility is over and above the 8 am to 8 pm banking and Sunday banking available at all branches. It proposes to add new branches and offsite ATMs to its network.
